Nobody Trains for Four Years Just to Draw Tables in an Exercise Book
If you ask any mwalimu why they got into teaching, they will tell you about a subject they loved or a teacher who inspired them back in primary or high school. They wanted to stand in front of a class, explain tough concepts, and help young people figure out their future.
Nobody joined this profession to sit down with a ruler, a blue biro, and a syllabus manual every term to copy out strands and sub-strands line by line.
Yet that is where a massive chunk of your week goes.
The Endless Paperwork
Here is how it goes in most schools across the country. You know your subject. You know what you want to teach on Tuesday morning. But before you step into that classroom, the system demands pages of written proof.
So you sit down with the KICD syllabus on one side and a record book on the other. You copy out the exact same learning outcomes, core competencies, and assessment methods you wrote out last term. It takes hours. Your hand gets tired. Your evening disappears.
And none of that hand-writing makes the lesson better.
Copying syllabus codes by hand isn't teaching.
Real teaching happens when a mwalimu stands in front of students with energy, focus, and a clear head. Instead, you walk into school the next morning already tired before the first bell rings at 7:00 AM.
Some teachers try downloading generic templates online. But half the time, those files have missing strands, strange layouts, or content that does not match the current curriculum. You take them to your HOD or Deputy Principal, they look at them once, reject them, and tell you to go write them afresh. You end up wasting money at the cyber café and still doing the manual work anyway.
Why We Built MwalimuDocs
We set up MwalimuDocs to fix this exact headache.
The platform is not built on random foreign templates. It is developed in reference to current KICD curriculum designs, strands and sub-strands, and follows the documentation formats Kenyan primary and secondary schools use.
We do not pretend to teach for you. You are the one who knows your learners and how to manage your classroom. What MwalimuDocs does is handle the heavy, repetitive drafting work in seconds.
You get complete, properly structured CBE schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment rubrics. They are print-ready, formatted correctly for your subject department, and ready for your headteacher's stamp.
Getting Your Evenings Back
Whether you are an individual teacher tired of burning the midnight oil, a subject head trying to get your department organized, or a headteacher looking for clean records across the whole school, MwalimuDocs keeps it simple.
- For Teachers: Generate your termly schemes and daily plans in minutes, print them out, and use your time to rest or focus on your family.
- For HODs and School Administration: Get consistent, complete documentation from your staff without constant chasing or endless corrections.

Our mission
To clear away manual document preparation for Kenyan teachers by delivering instant, properly formatted CBE paperwork, developed in reference to KICD guidelines.
Our vision

How we sell, and what we will never do
Some schools meet us through a field representative rather than through this website. Every representative carries a Letter of Introduction naming them, their agent code and the area they are authorised to work in, and every one of them is required to carry their National ID alongside it.
A MwalimuDocs representative will never ask you for cash. Every payment goes through the mobile money prompt on the payer's own phone. If anyone asks you for cash, or for a transfer to a personal number, refuse and tell us.
You can check any representative yourself, in seconds and without an account, on our . Type the agent code from their letter and it will show you the name we hold, the area they are authorised for, and whether that authorisation is current.
What we do with your data
We hold what we need to give you your documents and nothing we cannot justify. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. MwalimuDocs operates in line with the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019.
Our sets out exactly what is collected, which countries it is stored in, who processes it on our behalf and how to have it deleted. It is worth the five minutes.
